Monel K500
Nickel Alloys
Monel K500 is a precipitation-hardening nickel-copper alloy, upgraded from Monel 400 by adding aluminum Al and titanium Ti for gamma prime (Ni₃(Al,Ti)) phase strengthening. It combines excellent corrosion resistance comparable to Monel 400 with significantly higher strength, hardness and fatigue resistance after aging treatment. It features low magnetic permeability, good cryogenic performance and stable mechanical properties up to 480°C. Widely used in marine shafts, pump valves, oilfield drill
Advantage
1.Precipitation hardened for 2x higher strength than Monel 400, excellent fatigue resistance 2.Excellent resistance to seawater, marine atmosphere and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking 3.Low magnetic permeability, non-magnetic at cryogenic temperatures down to -101°C 4.Good resistance to non-oxidizing acids, alkalis and salt solutions, reliable in harsh environments
